Phan Thiet is a sleepy fishing town 200 km (4 hour drive) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The region is beautiful with many sand dunes and white sand beaches, crystal clear water. Phan Thiet is good for anyone who likes to relax and have easy holidays. Accommodations are good with many luxurious resorts and bungalows with private beaches. Some have private beaches.

Mui Ne is 20 km from Phan Thiet City. The Mui Ne Bay has more than 16 km of pristine white sand beaches. Driving from Phan Thiet to Mui Ne, you'll have the illusion of being in a different world with the exotic scenery of the famous Red Sand Dunes one side and the white sand beaches with palm trees on the other. Passing by this region, you also can visit one of the oldest Cham towers in Vietnam.

Phan Thiet - Mui Ne Tourist Attractions
Phan Thiet Fish Harbor located at the mouth of the Ca Ty River. This is where you'll get stunning pictures in early morning or late afternoon.

Poshanu Cham Tower was built in late 8th century on Ong Hoang Hill by the Cham People. This was the site they worshipped God Shiva. You can visit and see the Linga and Yoni inside the temple still. It's recommend to take a photo shot from Doc Da Gradient and not to climb around the area

Getting there and away
By road: Phan Thiet is 200km from Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon), the drive takes 4 hours. The road conditions are very good with not too busy traffic.

By train: There's a 5-star luxurious train from Saigon to Nha Trang which stops at Phan Thiet Railway Station. The train journey takes 4 hours.

Getting around
In Phan Thiet Mui Ne you can get around by motorbike or by car. There are some hotels and resorts offer 4-Wheel Drives  for exploring the sand dunes. Mui Ne is very quiet and tranquil and it offers relaxing stroll on the wild beach
